It’s time to plan your day at MNxMN 2018: Beyond Resistance! As a registered attendee, you may now sign up for the specific sessions you want to attend.  Everyone will be able to attend the Opening Session, Interactive Lunch Session and our Keynote Speaker. The “Connect to the Cause” exhibit hall opens at 8:00 when registration starts, and there are breaks throughout the day so that you can visit our local organizations

The sessions are small-group workshops to create an intimate, interactive space where real hands-on learning and networking can happen. Space is limited - get your ticket and sign up today!

Sessions are based on these three themes:

  • Community Building

  • Skills for Effective Activism

  • Understanding the Issues: Passion to Purpose

Important Scheduling Tips

  1. Seating in workshops is limited to allow for interactive learning and community building and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Ticket holders are welcome to attend any sessions that are not at capacity, regardless of registration. You can use your link to change your session on this page up until January 27 at 5pm.
  2. Please note the times of the sessions you select. Some AM sessions are 90 minutes, and some are 60 minutes. Make sure to view the schedule in the "Grid" view to avoid picking overlapping sessions.
  3. Help us reduce paper waste. Download your personal schedule, or bring your mobile device with you to have your schedule handy on-site.
  4. All available electronic files for posted sessions will be available to all MNxMN 2018 Beyond Resistance ticket holders, even for sessions you don’t attend.
  5. All session times, content, speakers and availability are subject to change. If a session you are registered for cancels or changes times, you will be notified by email. If that occurs, we will make every effort to help you get into an alternative session of your choice, even if the session you want is already full.

So sign up for your favorite sessions and save your seat! If you have any questions about scheduling your day, email programs@mnxmn.org .

Beyond Polarization: Bridging the Red/Blue Divide in Communities FULL

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Limited Capacity filling up

We may live in the most divisive time since the 1850s. In this session you will see how people with very different political viewpoints can come to understand one another beyond stereotypes and find common ground. You will learn a couple of specific skills for talking with loved ones on the other political sides. And you will have a chance to link up with the Better Angels local and national effort to show how we can have sharp political differences without denigrating and demonizing one another.
After this session, you will be able to:
  • Begin to move past stereotypes and find common ground.
  • Describe practical skills for talking with people across the political divide.
  • Identify ways to link up with others who want to work on depolarizing America.
